MENDHAR, Nov 24: More than 200 Rehriwallas who were displaced by the local administration from Bus Stand and main market area about two weeks back, held protest demonstration here today.
Scores of Rehriwallas along with some of their family members assembled at Shahidi Yadgar Mendhar here today and started protest demonstration. They were demanding their rehabilitation as their families were facing starvation. Their protest continued for about two hours.
They claimed that on November 10, the local administration led by SDM and SDPO removed all the Rehris numbering around 300 from the entire market and Bus Stand area. They were assured to rehabilitate at some location but even after two weeks they have not been accommodated anywhere. They demanded that administration must provide them some space for their livelihood otherwise, they will be forced to come out on the roads to lodge their protest.
