JAMMU, July 15: Residents of Rehari Colony and office bearers of Shopkeepers Association Rehari Colony highlighted the dilapidated conditions of roads and lanes of the area, in a press conference held here today.
Highlighting the grievances of the people of the area, Navin Bali, president, Shopkeepers Association, said that with the first showers of Monsoon season, muddy water got spread over all the area of colony due to blockage of drains and it entered in lanes, roads and even houses of the residents.
“The residents, school children, pedestrians are facing great problems while passing through lanes and roads. The stagnated muddy water of drains is emitting foul smell which can cause additional health hazards to inhabitants of the Rehari Colony”, Bali said and demanded Municipal authorities to look into the matter and instruct concerned staff to clean the lanes and drains properly so that there remains no blockage of drains in particular during the rainy season.
