JAMMU, Sept 24: PHE Workers Welfare Association has demanded regularization of the services of Daily Rated Workers (DRWs) of the Jal Shakti/ PHE department.
A meeting of the Association was held here today under the leadership of Bakshi Singh, Subhash Verma and Rajesh Jamwal, wherein the members strongly criticized the higher authorities for not addressing the long pending issues of the daily wagers. They alleged that anti-employee stance of the Government has been exposed.
They said the promise made before the election with the employees organizations is not being fulfilled. Even the time span of six months given by the NC led Government has expired. It has badly failed to address issues of the daily wagers. They said if the demands of regularization and enhancement of wages are not fulfilled, the Association will be left with the only option to resort to launch agitation after Navratras.
