JAMMU, Oct 9: J&K BJP spokesperson Zorawar Singh Jamwal has strongly condemned PDP’s Iltija Mufti’s recent statement and demanded immediate registration of FIR against her for spreading communal hatred in J&K and rest of the country.
Iltija Mufti who is daughter of former Chief Minister of J&K Mehbooba Mufti has released a video in which her statement clearly shows how she is toeing separatism and trying to spread communal hatred.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal termed the statement highly provocative, irresponsible, and deliberately aimed at inciting communal hatred. He said, “Iltija Mufti’s statement is not only factually incorrect but is a deliberate attempt to distort reality, spread fear, and polarize communities for political gain.”
He further said, “This is a classic example of the politics of appeasement and provocation that certain leaders indulge in to divide society. Such statements are an insult to the intelligence of the people and a direct challenge to the unity and integrity of the nation. Silence from authorities will embolden these divisive voices and endanger social harmony.”
Jamwal demanded that the administration register an FIR against Iltija Mufti immediately under relevant sections of the law for inciting hatred and communal disharmony. He said such irrelevant and irresponsible statements clearly show the political bankruptcy in PDP that has already lost its political space in J&K and is on the verge to perish from political field.
“No individual, regardless of their political influence, has the right to spread lies that harm national unity. The BJP will continue to expose such dangerous rhetoric and ensure that the law acts decisively,” he added.
