Regional Review & Planning Workshop of SLAs concludes at SCERT

JAMMU, Jan 23: The three-day Regional Review and Planning Workshop of School Leadership Academies (SLAs), organised by SCERT-J&K, Jammu under the aegis of the National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL), NIEPA New Delhi, concluded today.
During the three days, enriching sessions were facilitated by expert faculty from NCSL- NIEPA namely Dr Charu Malik , Dr Gyaneshwari Longjam, Dr Pankaj Singh and the themes included – Framework on School Leadership – Development Role of School Leadership Academies, Strengthening understanding of School Leadership, seven claims on School Leadership, Research study on Good Governance in School Education: Prospects and innovative practices.
A fruitful panel discussion on Viksit Bharat 2047 covering the topics : Role of School Education in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat, the need for collaboration between School Education and Higher Education. Panchkosh, importance of strengthening teacher educators was also held involving distuinguished experts like Prof J N Baliya from Central University of Jammu, Prof Rajeev Rattan Sharma from University of Jammu, Sheetal Pandita, Deputy Secretary School Education Department; Ruheed Gul, Sr Lecturer DIET Anantnag and Jan Mudasir Gul , Sr Lecturer OSD-CEW.
The valedictory session marked the culmination of intensive deliberations, experience sharing and collaborative planning aimed at enhancing leadership competencies of school heads and academic administrators in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020.
The leadership of NCSL-NIEPA lauded the efforts of SCERT Jammu for successfully hosting the regional workshop and providing a vibrant platform for professional dialogue on transformational school leadership.
Prof Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT ensured smooth academic and logistical arrangements throughout the programme. The workshop concluded with a collective resolve to translate the deliberations into concrete action plans, strengthen mentoring and monitoring systems, and promote leadership excellence for improving school effectiveness and student learning outcomes. Certificates were distributed to the participants and a formal vote of thanks was presented by Riaz Ahmed Dar.
