JAMMU, Jan 20: J&K BJP spokesperson, Arun Gupta today alleged that regional insensitivity and the infighting in coalition partners are major causes for the failure of NC Government in saving the 17 lives in Rajouri.
“Due to callous approach by NC Government, MHA, Government of India had to intervene and depute a 11-member team from Centre to look into the alarming emergency situation at Badhaal village on the request of J&K BJP,” he said, while addressing a press conference along with Balbir Ram Rattan, spokesperson and Dr Pardeep Mahotra, media secretary.
Arun Gupta said that the first incident in this regard was reported on December 7, 2024, but after more than 43 days, deaths are still continuing in most alarming situation.
“The NC Government has taken non-serious view of this serious emergency. This regional insensitivity is not acceptable to BJP and under no circumstances would allow citizens of the area to suffer and be on the mercy of NC Government, which always has worked on regional whims. Now, MHA, Government of India had to intervene and depute a 11-member team for investigating and put it to logical action on the request of J&K BJP”, said Arun Gupta.
Arun Gupta alleged that the Coalition partners are busy in setting up narrative of counter allegations on each other sidelining major issues like this medical emergency leaving administration clueless. If coalition is not working, it cannot be settled at the cost of citizens,” he added.
