This has reference to recent downfall in petrol and diesel prices in the market.
There is the precedence that whenever oil prices registered a hike, transporters would resort to agitation before Transport authorities for fare hike. Most of the times there demand was conceded by the Government. But one fails to understand why does not the Government reduces fare prices when prices of petrol and diesel have come down by 15 percent in the last six months.
Daily passengers are quite annoyed with the Transport authorities for not reducing fare prices. The transporters are reaping a windfall these days, and passengers suffer a lot due to lackadaisical approach of the Transport authorities. The transporters would like to remain mute this time, but how long can the passengers.
