Redress plights of people living in far-flung areas: BSP

JAMMU, July 11: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) asked the Government to redress the plights of the people living in far-flung and hilly areas of the State.
BSP State president Tulshi Dass Langeh accompanied by RL Chalgotra State vice president and Yash Pal Bhagat coordinator, Jammu Poonch Lok Sabha conducted two days tour of district Rajouri and listened to the problems of the people.
People of the area apprised the BSP leaders about the problems including erratic power supply and shortage of drinking water. Daily wagers working in the PHE Department have not been paid salary and pending arrears for the last one year and their families are at the stage of starvation, they were told.
While addressing the gathering, Tulsi Dass Langeh, said that the Coalition Government has failed to redress the grievances of the people especially living in far- flung and hilly areas. He said that the unemployment is increasing day to day but the Government is not framing any concrete policy.
