Real merger

Sir,
On 26th of October, we celebrated the Accession day of Jammu and Kashmir with India with fervour and patriotism. On one side, it gives immense pleasure to express the emotions but on the other side, it gives much pain. Why only Jammu and Kashmir and that too for some years, is compelled to celebrate the accession day? No other state in India celebrates the Accession day.
It is understandable that they are integral part of India in letter and spirit. They have one flag, one constitution while the state of J & K has two flags and two constitutions. And obviously a special status. While BJP Central Government is looking forward for a solution to Kashmir issue though the same sometimes gives indications that they would not erase the special status. We are waiting for that day when Jammu and Kashmir will become at par with other states of India and that will be the real merger.
Yours etc….
