JAMMU, Dec 11: The Public Works (R&B) Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has established a Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) to ensure better quality and faster execution of infrastructure projects across various departments and major Government of India schemes.
As per the office memorandum, two teams will function under the PMU—one to monitor departmental and other routine works, and the second to oversee projects funded under central schemes and National Highway projects.
The PMU will function under the overall supervision of the Planning Division of the department.
