UDHAMPUR, Oct 24: In a rare act of honesty, a selection grade constable posted in District Police Headquarter handed over lost wallet to its owner.
The selection grade constable Vimal Dhar found a wallet lying on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Dak Banglow and informed Anil Kumar Magotra, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
SSP directed to trace out the owner of the said wallet and after scrutinizing the articles, the owner of the wallet namely Abdul Kabir, son of Mohammad Hussain Shah of Mangota, District Doda was called and thereafter his wallet was returned back. The wallet contained cash worth Rs 2,600 and debit cards with PIN numbers.
