Rape cases on the increase

Sir,
One really feels bewildered to hear, read about the horrendous and heart rending rape cases especially the latest one in the city of Badauon in UP where such cases are on the rise. After all how can we accept any decline in such cases when a towering leader Mulayam  Singh Yadav justified such rape cases some months ago on the ground that, the boys will be boys and therefore may make mistakes’. Such  a statement from a responsible person does not fit well in such cases.
The number of rape cases from UP seems to have grown exponentially and the above incident is indeed terrific more shaming than the last. Mr Akhilesh Yadav, the present CM instead of seeking a viable solution to the intricate problem compares the number of rape cases of his state with other states. What a sorry state of affairs! That such inhuman and untoward accident should take place in our Bharat, known for religious ethos and social greatness is  beyond imagination. The remedy lies in giving boost to moral education in schools and up to college level. Moreover, there should be severe punishments to such culprits. Moreover, the steps taken by the minister is charge will go a long way in stemming the rot. The NHRC has taken a strong view of the aforesaid matter and condemned rising incidents, sexual assault on women in the country. Stringent measures need to be taken to curb this menace as per law through fast track courts. The commission has called upon all the states to ensure security and safety after the happening  of the case cited above. These acts are against the cultural values and virtues that our society has cherished since times immemorial.
Yours etc…
