JAMMU, Dec 21: Bhader-wah police arrested a rape accused, who was evading his arrest after committing the crime.
As per police sources, on December 5 this year, a complaint was lodged by a family with Police Station Bhaderwah stating that Shahid Hussain, son of Gulsher Ahmed Ganai of Lowasoo raped their daughter several times.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 148/17 under Section 376 RPC was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
After hectic efforts, the location of accused was traced in Soura village of Bhalla.
A police team headed by Incharge Police Post Bhalla SI Sunil and Incharge Bhalra Police Post SI Talib Hussain under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Muneer Khan, SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir conducted raid and arrested the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
