SUCHETGARH, Jan 9: Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust, Ranvijay Singh today visited ancient Raghunathji Temple at Zero Line on the Indo-Pakistan border at Suchetgarh to take stock of the infrastructure and other facilities in the temple premises.
He was accompanied by advocate Ajay Gandotra, President of the trust and Ashok Kumar Sharma (SSP retd.), Secretary.
As per a statement, the trio held discussions on improving the facilities and increasing the aesthetic value of the ancient temple.
It said that during their visit, RK Ranvijay Singh performed a special pooja and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
He also laid stress upon the priests to ensure that every devotee who enters the historic temple returns with complete knowledge of the history, significance, and other details about the temple as according to him, it is vital for disseminating information among the masses about the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
Later, the trio also interacted with the BSF personnel and lauded their efforts in safeguarding the borders, it said.
RK Ranvijay Singh also visited Shiv Temple Satwari and took stock of the temple premises. He also performed a special pooja at Natraj Ji temple located in the premises of Shri Raghunathji Temple Jammu on the eve of birthday of late Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi.
“Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi played a vital role in transformation of Jammu and Kashmir from feudalism to democracy. She will be remembered for her contribution for years to come,” he said.
