JAMMU, Feb 19: Ranvijay Singh, Trustee of the Maharaja Gulab Singh Trust, today called on the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, and briefed him about the upcoming programme being organised in the form of a seminar dedicated to Raja Amar Singh.
During the meeting, Ranvijay Singh apprised the Lt Governor of the objectives and significance of the proposed seminar, which aims to honour the legacy, vision and contributions of Raja Amar Singh. He highlighted that the event would focus on promoting awareness about the region’s rich history, cultural heritage and the values of progressive governance, unity and public service associated with the Dogra rulers and also book release on life and legacy of Maharaja Pratap Singh ji.
The Trustee informed the Lt Governor that the seminar would include scholarly deliberations, historical presentations and public participation, with a special emphasis on educating the younger generation about the historical milestones, administrative reforms and socio-cultural contributions made during the period of Raja Amar Singh. He added that such initiatives play an important role in preserving heritage while fostering a sense of pride, identity and responsibility among citizens.
Ranvijay Singh formally requested the Lt Governor to grace the occasion as Chief Guest, stating that his presence would greatly inspire the organisers and participants and add dignity and significance to the seminar.
The Lt Governor appreciated the efforts of the Trust and the Foundation in promoting historical awareness and cultural values and extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the programme in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor unveiled the Calendar dedicated to Legends of Jammu Kashmir, at Lok Bhavan. The Calendar was published by Slimline Clinic of Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition, Jammu.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated Mitali Gupta, Founder, Slimline Clinic of Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition, and everyone associated with the publication of the calendar.
The calendar features outstanding personalities of Jammu Kashmir who have made immense contribution to the society.
