SAMBA, Apr 8: Senior Congress leader and Member Legislative Council (MLC) Rani Gargi Blowria inaugurated road at Vijaypur town, constructed with the cost of Rs 12 lakhs which she had provided from her CDF.
Addressing the gathering Rani Blowria assured the gathering that under the able leadership of AICC president Sonia Gandhi and State president G A Mir, her party is working hard to mitigate the sufferings of the down trodden people and those living in rural areas.
The Congress leader stressed the need to maintain communal harmony and age-old brotherhood among the different sections of the society so that a peaceful atmosphere can be created for the development and progress of the State. She alleged that some communal forces were trying to disturb the peace in the State.
She appealed the people of the area to strengthen the Congress Party up to the grass root level and asked the women folk to come forward and take part in political activities and development.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included former Minister Manjeet Singh, Raman Singh Slathia, Sarpanch Gurah Slathia, BDO Vijaypur, Manohar Lal, Master Beli Ram, Capt Ashok Singh and Parshotam Singh.
