Range Officer lodges FIR against tress-passers

POONCH, Feb 3: Forest Range Officer, Surankote, Nissar Hussain has lodged an FIR against one Imran Dar, son of Gafoor Dar of Ward No. 8, Rajouri and his associates for trespassing and pelting stones on the Forest staff and Inspection Hut at Dera Gali on Sunday afternoon.
Giving details, the Range Officer alleged that he along with some staff was at Forest Inspection Hut, Dera Gali under Surankote Police jurisdiction on Sunday. At around 3 pm one Imran Dar along with few others tress- passed into the Forest complex from backside. They tried to forcibly enter the complex. When Chowkidar and other staff tried to stop, they abused them and resorted to manhandling. When he came out to settle the issue, during arguments, one Iran Dar assaulted him and tore the uniform of one of the staff members.
In the menwhile, Imran pulled out a gun and pointed towards him and his staff. While leaving he threatened of dire consequences and also pelted stones on staff and hut, causuign damage to window panes.
It is pertinent to mention here that on Sunday evening, Imran Dar lodged FIR against RO and his staff at Tnannamandi Police Station after the incident. This is the counter FIR against that while the jurisdiction of the incident falls in Bafliaz under Surankote Police Station, a senior Forest officer said.
