‘Rang Tarang’ festival culminates

JAMMU, July 18: ‘Rang Tarang’, a festival of theatre and dance concluded here today at IIM Jammu. Featuring 16 plays and 4 dances, the event was organised under the direction of Balwant Thakur.
Over four days from July 15 to 18, the festival witnessed an extraordinary display of talent, setting a record with the highest number of performances by a group of 128 brilliant artists.
A wide array of plays both contemporary and classic, were showcased during the event and these included plays ‘Rehearsal’, ‘Aaj Ki Aurat’, ‘Gadda’, ‘The Dear Departed’, ‘Sabse Bada Aadmi’, ‘Koi Aur Raasta’, ‘Antral Ke Baad’, ‘Budhi Kaaki’, ‘Andher Nagri’, ‘Coffee House Wali Ladki’, ‘Girgit’, ‘Janta Pagal Hogayi Hai’ ‘Jangi Ram Ki Haveli’, ‘Miss World Undeclared’, ‘Refund’ and ‘Jonk’.
The festival also highlighted the cultural richness of the region through mesmerizing dance performances.
Speaking on the occasion Director Natrang Padmashree Balwant Thakur said that with its dynamic blend of drama and dance, Rang Tarang 2025 not only showcased the immense talent of the students but also celebrated the vibrant cultural heritage of India.
The festival was coordinated and assisted by a team of senior professionals from Natrang including Neeraj Kant, Pawan Verma, Sunny Mujoo, Kananpreet Kaur and Brijesh Avtar Sharma.
