JAMMU, Oct 15: Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa kick started much-awaited blacktopping work of road at Green Avenues in Karan Bagh area of Jammu South Assembly segment, here today.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that the present development work is being executed on the demand of local people as they were facing difficulty in day-to-day movement. He informed that the present work will be executed by PWD (R&B) at an estimated cost of Rs 15 lakh.
He assured the people that all their demands would be redressed in a phased manner and said that various developmental works are in progress.
“BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working on the theme of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas’ and is committed for the overall development of Jammu and its people”, Randhawa said, adding that “BJP is working to mitigate problems of the people and give them respite from miseries which they are facing for the last over 70 years”.
He said instead of talking about big things the BJP leadership is focusing on local issues which can make a big difference in the lives of people. “BJP is working with the best possible approach to meet the expectations of local residents,” he asserted.
Randhawa requested the locals to lend a hand in monitoring the quality of the blacktopping work presently going on.
Bharat Bushan, Paras Ram, Mohit Raina, RK Sharma, Gori Shanker, and many others were present during the event.
