JAMMU, May 1: In a significant stride towards improving public sanitation facilities, MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa today laid the foundation stone for the Aspirational Toilet at Satwari Chowk, a project initiated under the aegis of the Jammu Cantonment Board.
The occasion was marked by the presence of several dignitaries, including Amit Mane (CEO, Jammu Cantonment Board), Bharat Bhushan (Executive Member), Rakesh Kumar (JE), Narinder Koki, Suhail, Naveen Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Tarun Gupta, Rajesh Gupta and other guests.
Speaking at the event, MLA Randhawa emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting health, hygiene, and dignity in public spaces. “With the support of the Cantonment Board and active participation from the community, we are committed to providing world-class sanitation facilities for the people,” he stated.
Amit Mane, CEO of the Jammu Cantonment Board, highlighted that the Aspirational Toilet will be equipped with modern, eco-friendly features and will serve as a model facility in the area. “This project is part of our larger mission to upgrade civic amenities and promote cleanliness under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,” he added.
Executive Member, Bharat Bhushan and JE Rakesh Kumar also praised the collaborative effort and assured that the project will be completed on time, benefiting thousands of residents and visitors in the Satwari area.
