JAMMU, Oct 10: MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa today kickstarted the lane and drain construction work at Shiv Lane, Malik Market (Panchayat), Bathindi, being carried out under the PWD.
During his visit, he toured the area and listened to the problems and grievances of local residents, with the main concerns being scarcity of water supply and poor road conditions.
Residents warmly welcomed MLA Randhawa for personally visiting the area and hearing their concerns. The MLA gave on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officials to redress these issues, emphasizing the need for prompt action. This lane and drain work will address a long-pending demand of the local community.
Officials from various departments including BDO Sachin Abrol, SE PHE, Sunil Gandotra, Executive Engineer, PHE Vipan Kumar, AEE & JE PHE, PWD (JE) and other concerned officers were present. The occasion also saw the presence of Surjeet Singh (Mandal president), Kulveer Charak, Pankaj Bral, Ajay Sharma, Sajan Gupta, Amit Gupta, Tarun Sharma, Gurdeep Singh, Kamal Pathaniya, Surat Singh, Rafiq and other prominent locals.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Randhawa said that ensuring the holistic development of Bahu constituency is his top priority. He stressed that all PWD works, including road repairs, lane and drain construction, and water supply improvements, will be executed with transparency and high quality. He further assured the public that regular monitoring will be done, and residents’ feedback will guide every step of the development process, ensuring that long-pending demands are addressed promptly.
Randhawa urged residents to actively participate in the development process, promising that their voices will always guide his efforts to build a better, modern, and well-serviced Bahu constituency.
