JAMMU, Dec 8: MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa formally kick started the crates work at Chaata in Panchayat Upper Sunjwan, giving a strong push to the ongoing development initiatives in the area.
The work is being executed by the Public Works Department (PWD), focusing on strengthening protection structures, preventing erosion, and ensuring long-term safety for residents.
The commencement of the work took place in the presence of officials from the PWD, who inspected the site and assured that the project will be completed with full quality standards and strict adherence to technical guidelines.
Also present on the occasion were Mandal president, Surjeet Singh, Mandal team members, and several respected local dignitaries who joined the MLA in marking the beginning of this important development work. Their presence reflected strong community support and collective commitment toward improving local infrastructure.
Speaking at the site, MLA Randhawa emphasized that every genuine public demand will be addressed on priority and that protection works such as crates construction are essential for securing vulnerable stretches and supporting long-term area stability. He reiterated his vision of ensuring continuous, ground-level development across the constituency.
Residents of Chaata expressed gratitude to MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa for fulfilling this long-pending need. They highlighted that the crates work will provide major relief from seasonal challenges, protect adjoining land, and enhance safety in the locality.
MLA Randhawa assured that development works across Upper Sunjwan-including roads, drainage systems, protection works, and other priority public projects-will continue in a time-bound and quality-driven manner through the concerned departments.
