JAMMU, Nov 19: MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa kick started the construction of a new lane with tile works and a proper drainage system in Ward No. 2 of the Cantonment Board, Satwari. This long-pending demand of the residents has finally been fulfilled, bringing much-needed relief and improved civic infrastructure to the area.
The work was formally started in the presence of Bharat Bhushan (Member, Cantonment Board), departmental officials, and the contractor. The project aims to ensure smooth mobility, better sanitation, and overall enhancement of the living environment for the local population.
Speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that he is committed to ensuring that all development works-especially those related to roads, lanes, and drainage-are executed with full transparency, strict quality control, and timely completion. He also appreciated the cooperation of the Cantonment Board officials for prioritizing public issues and taking prompt action. He further added that development in defence and cantonment areas remains a top focus, and every effort will be made to upgrade basic amenities so that residents receive the facilities they truly deserve.
Residents expressed gratitude to MLA Randhawa for addressing their long-standing grievances and initiating work that will benefit every household in the locality.
