JAMMU, Sept 23: – In a continued push for development in Bahu constituency, MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa today kick started the construction of a lane and drain (Dr. Kampasi Lane), at Ward No. 53, addressing a long-pending civic issue faced by the residents of Khoo Wali Gali.
The initiative aims to improve basic infrastructure and provide relief from water logging and poor road conditions.
The work was started in the presence of officials from Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Local residents welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude for the long-awaited development.
Prominent persons present at the event included Nitish Mahajan (Mandal president), Rajinder Koul, Naresh Chopra, Magan Grover, Vishwadeep Gupta, Rajinder Sharma, Suram Singh, Vishal Jandial, Rajeev Sharma, and many others.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch. Vikram Randhawa said,
“The welfare of the people is my top priority. This project was a long-standing demand of the residents, and I am happy to see it finally taking shape. My focus remains on ensuring that every ward receives adequate development, especially in terms of basic infrastructure like roads, drainage, and sanitation. I assure the people that more such works will be taken up in the coming days to ensure better living conditions for all.”
He also appreciated the cooperation of JMC officials and urged the contractor to maintain quality standards and complete the work within the stipulated time.
The MLA further assured the public that his office is always open for suggestions and grievances. He encouraged citizens to come forward with genuine development needs, promising swift action and full support in addressing their concerns.
