JAMMU, Mar 5: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today kick-started construction of a lane and drain at lower Gadigarh in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that the locals of the area were facing many hardships in the absence of lane and drain particularly during rainy season. He said that the matter was brought to his notice which was appropriately taken up with the concerned authorities and after all codal formalities the construction stands started.
He informed the people that the lane and drain would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 8.50 lakh and also directed the executing authority to maintain the quality of work for longevity of the lane and drain. He also urged upon the locals to maintain it well as it would be now their property and it is the duty of the public to maintain all public properties. He assured the people that all pending demands of the area would be addressed soon as BJP Government is committed to win the trust of the people through development.
“There are many mega developmental projects in offing and the Government would roll out soon one by one”, Randhawa said. He also urged upon the people to take maximum benefits of all welfare schemes being launched by the Central Government.
