JAMMU, May 3: In a significant step towards improving civic infrastructure, MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa today inaugurated the newly constructed washroom complex and tile laying works at Valmiki Colony, completed at an estimated cost of Rs 57.40 lakh.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), ensuring proper execution and adherence to quality standards in these developmental works.
The event was graced by prominent leaders and dignitaries, including Rahul Kumar (Mandal president), Satbir Singh, Garu Bhatti, Rikki Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Bhushan Verma, Ravi Khokhar, and several others who joined to mark this important occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch. Vikram Randhawa said, “Development at the grassroots level is our top priority. Projects like these not only provide essential facilities but also improve the overall environment and quality of life for the residents. I am committed to bringing more such works to every colony and lane in my constituency.”
He appreciated the efforts of JMC officials and local leaders for their support and coordination in completing the projects within the stipulated time.
Local residents expressed their pleasure over these new facilities and expressed their gratitude towards the MLA and the administration. They highlighted that the modern washroom complex will greatly improve sanitation, while the tile work will ensure safer and smoother movement, especially during the rainy season.
Randhawa further assured the public that additional development projects focusing on drainage, street lighting, and road improvement are in the pipeline for Valmiki Colony and surrounding areas.
