JAMMU, Jan 2: MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today kick started the upgradation works of various lanes and drains in Sector-1, Sanjay Nagar, Ward No. 46, aimed at improving sanitation and easing daily movement for residents.
The programme was held in the presence of the Mandal president and his team, local dignitaries of Sanjay Nagar, and officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
After the inauguration, MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa toured the entire area, reviewed the left-out lanes and drains, and directed the concerned officials to complete the remaining works in a time-bound manner. He also interacted with the public, patiently listened to their problems, and assured them that all genuine demands would be addressed on priority.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa said that strengthening basic civic infrastructure like lanes and drains is essential for improving sanitation, preventing waterlogging, and enhancing the quality of life of residents. He stated that his priority is to ensure equitable and planned development in every Ward of the Bahu constituency, adding that all pending works of Sanjay Nagar would be taken up in a phased and time-bound manner.
MLA emphasized quality work, timely completion, and assured continuous monitoring of all development projects.
MLA Randhawa emphasized that development works should be durable and of high quality, stating that public welfare remains his top priority. The residents of Sanjay Nagar expressed their gratitude and appreciated the MLA for taking swift action and ensuring inclusive development of the ward.
