Randhawa directs early execution of drain work

JAMMU, June 23: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Choudhary Vikram Randhawa, today directed the officials of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for early execution of drain work at Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar.
A delegation of locals from Last Morh  met Ch. Vikram Randhawa and requested him for construction of the drain passing through their locality as the Monsoon is all set to knock the doors anytime. MLC gave a patient hearing to the delegation and acting swiftly called the officials of the JMC directing them to visit the spot to conduct survey. Accordingly a team of JMC officials led by AEE JMC visited the spot.
Randhawa was present on the spot and directed the officials to execute the work of the drain as early as possible so that it can be completed before the onset of the Monsoon. He said that it was a long pending demand of the locals who had faced hardships during rainy season as water gets logged into the area and the residential houses were flooded causing damage to the property.
The locals showered praised on the quick action taken by the MLC Randhawa.
