Jammu, June 22: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today dedicated newly constructed lane to public at Ward No-43, Nanak Nagar, Jammu in the presence of Corporator Surjit Singh.
While addressing the people after the inauguration of the lane Randhawa said that the lane was constructed two decades ago and the previous Congress Government did not bother to improve the basic infrastructure of the Gandhi Nagar. He said that the Congress had always played with the sentiments of the people and ignored the basic and genuine demands of the masses.
Randhawa said that Gandhi Nagar has witnessed a massive infrastructure development under BJP rule but still there are hamlets which need to be focused upon. He assured the people that Gandhi Nagar would be developed as ‘Model Constituency’. He said that many developmental projects for the area are in pipeline and would be implemented soon.
Randhawa again reiterated the commitment of the BJP to carry forward the slogan of the Prime Minister-‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ to the doorsteps of the people. He urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits of the schemes launched by the Government for the welfare of the people.
The lane which was dedicated to the people today has been constructed by the PWD at an estimated cost of Rs 13.50 lakh. The officials of the department were also present on the occasion.
Randhawa further assured the people that all the roads in the area would be blacktopped before the onset of the rainy season.
The locals complimented Ch. Vikram Randhawa for his efforts to deliver development at the doorsteps of the people and extended full support to the BJP in the coming future.
