JAMMU, Jan 14: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today dedicated a newly constructed lane and drain to the public at Azad Nagar in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency in presence of Corporator, Dr. Yudhvir Singh.
While addressing the people after the inauguration of the lane and drain Randhawa said that to carry out all round development of the Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment is on top of his priority and will leave no stone unturned to make it a Model Constituency. He said that Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to carry forward the agenda of development irrespective of caste, colour and creed.
He said that the said lane and drain was a long pending demand of the people of the area and it was brought to his notice recently which today stands constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 lakh. He said that the amount was immediately released by him out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) so that the work is executed at earliest.
Randhawa expressed his happiness that the work has been completed by the executing agency well in time and urged the local residents to maintain the lane and drain well for its long life. He said that it is their property and the public must ensure that it is used properly and maintained well.
The locals expressed their gratitude to the MLC for his sincere and quick effort to carry out development in the locality. The locals assured Randhawa of full support to the BJP in the coming future.
