Rampaul raises demand for Statehood

JAMMU, Sept 14: Senior National Conference leader and former Minister Babu Rampaul reiterated his demand of restoring Statehood to the Jammu and Kashmir.
In a meeting of the Central Zone held here today Rampaul asked the cadre for gearing up party activities for the upcoming Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) polls.
A detailed discussion was also held on the host of public issues which need immediate attention. The meeting was organized by Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator and Zonal Secretary JKNC.
All the leaders present in the meeting unanimously resolved to fight for the restoration of the Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir which was snatched away on August 5, 2019. During the discussion Rampaul reiterated his demand for restoration of Statehood to Jammu & Kashmir and urged the Prime Minister to fulfil his promise, which he made with the people of Jammu & Kashmir earnestly waiting for his constructive action sans further delay.
Full Statehood will pave the way for a stronger governance structure, enabling better policy-making, economic planning, and job creation initiatives tailored to the unique needs of the region, he said.
