RAMNAGAR, Nov 10: – R. S. Pathania, BJP candidate from Ramnagar Assembly segment, kicked off election campaign in the Assembly segment while addressing largely-attended meetings at far-off locations – Satyein, Prey, Badhal, Matt, Ansoo, Basantgarh, Lodhra, Ponara, Khaned, Tamrein, Kadwah, Raichak, Baggan, Surni, Gaddeni, Kanah, Khurkhal, Dalsar villages.
He said that winds of change have started blowing over the political horizon of Ramnagar. Fed up with the ‘black-rule’ prevailing herein over since the past seventeen years, people have developed a strong itch and inclination towards Bhartiya Janata Party as the only option and alternative.
He alleged that Panthers Party has done nothing to address multi-dimensional developmental needs of the people of Ramnagar. The area has not been able to assert and flourish properly despite the availability of best of potential.
Mr. Pathania has also taken stock of day-to-day problems confronting the people over there. People demanded immediate distribution of land-compensation for acquired lands and houses for Sulan-Prey road under PMGSY as more than seven years have elapsed by since execution of work on the said road but not even a penny has been paid to affected families. They have also sought taking of immediate steps on starting work on Phase-II under PMGSY on the said road.
While making an ironical attack at the Government, Mr. Pathania stated that in cases where lands of Forests/Wildlife Deptt. or pipes of PHE Deptt. of electricity lines of PDD form part of road-alignment of roads, the said departments do not allow PMGSY department to use a single shovel unless compensation is deposited in their accounts.
And when it comes to carving roads through agricultural lands of farmers, compensation remains unpaid till years and years.
