SAMBA, Nov 3: Ramgarh Police arrested four gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 2,340 form village Rajwal today.
Acting on specific information about gambling in the area, a Police Party of Ramgarh Police Station headed by Inspector, Vikas Dogra, SHO, Ramgarh under the close supervision of S. Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur raided the gambling spot and arrested four gamblers from village Rajwal, Ramgarh along with stake money of Rs. 2,340/- and playing cards.
The gamblers were identified as Santosh Kumar, son of Laxmi Parsad of Chhatishgarh, Hari Chand, son of Het Ram of Chhatishgarh, Bura son of Deep Chand of Madhya Pardesh and Satish, son of Mijaji Lal R/o Madhya Pardesh. All at present are residing in Ramgarh. Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act at P/S Ramgarh.
It may be recalled that District Police Samba under the directives of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba, has launched a drive against all criminal activities including the gambling in the district.
