Ramesh Khajuria appointed Ambassador of WWEPC

NEW DELHI, Sept 27: Dr Romesh Khajuria former Chairman, Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council(WWEPC) and former Chairman, Carpet Export Pro Motion Council(CEPC), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India has been appointed as Ambassador of the WWEPC.
Dr Khajuria’s appointment was announced by Harmeet Bhalla, Vice Chairman of WWEPC during his address to General house today 58th Annual General Body meeting of WWEPC held in New Delhi.
Bhalla said that appointment of Dr Romesh Khajuria as Ambassador of WWEPC approved in the last CoA (Committee of Administration) meeting held on September 10 to popularise the programmes of the Council and promotion of woollen exports in the Hilly states of Bharat.
Dr Khajuria represented the woollen Industry through WWEPC at various positions Chairman from April 2022 to April 2025, as Vice Chairman April 2020 to April 2022 and three terms as member of CoA, WWEPC and done excellent work during this period stated Bhalla.
Dr Romesh Khajuria, complimented the Chairman, Vice Chairman, CoA members and all associated with WWEPC for his nomination and honour extended to him. Dr Khajuria also remained Chairman of Carpet Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Textiles, Govt of India.
He lauded the role of Narinder Modi Government, Giri Raj Singh, Minister for Textiles, Textiles Ministry and Commerce & Industry for their support in addressing the issues of woollen sector from time to time.
