JAMMU, Nov 24: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Raman Suri today said that intensified action taken against drug smugglers and peddlers across Jammu and Kashmir is a much-needed response to a menace that has seeped deep into society and claimed countless precious lives.
Raman Suri in a statement issued here, today said the aggressively expanded drives against drug smuggling, peddling, consumption, and financing networks is demoralising and demolishing the nexus. He added that many young lives have been lost and many homes devastated because of this growing menace, so such stringent and continuous action must continue unabated.
He emphasized that the ongoing action must not stop here, but instead evolve into an unrelenting campaign that dismantles the entire drug ecosystem. “The timely action being taken by the authorities now will nip this evil in the bud. Jammu and Kashmir must never be allowed to go the way of Punjab, where drugs destroyed countless families and pushed generations into misery,” he said.
