Ramakrishna Mission holds free multi-speciality health camp in Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 9: The Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre, Ramakrishna Vihar, Udheywala, organized a free mega multi-speciality health camp today, offering medical services from 9 AM to 2 PM.
A statement said the initiative aimed to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to residents of Jammu and nearby areas.
A team of 14 doctors from various specialties attended the camp, which benefited 153 patients.
Consultations were provided by physicians, surgeons, gynaecologists, dentists, eye specialists, physiotherapists, and Ayurvedic experts. Free tests including uroflowmetry, haemoglobin, uric acid, and blood sugar were conducted during the event.
Specialists such as Dr Vidyut Gupta, Urologist, offered consultations on kidney and bladder stones, prostate issues, and related disorders, while Dr Sudesh Gupta treated patients with piles, fistula, and fissures. Dr Twinkle Gupta provided Ayurvedic guidance for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, migraine, anxiety, and depression.
A full-body checkup package, covering tests like CBC, thyroid, liver, kidney, and vitamin D, was offered at a subsidized rate of Rs 1200, reduced from Rs 2300, to encourage preventive healthcare.
The camp saw participation from dignitaries including Prem Lata, Deputy Director, Finance; Dr Anita Gupta, Physiotherapist; Raman Gupta, MD Pans and Pots; and Dr Vijay Gupta, Gynaecologist, who appreciated the Mission’s efforts in promoting community health.
Swami Yajnadharananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, said the initiative reflects the Mission’s philosophy of serving humanity as divine service.
He announced that similar free medical camps would be held monthly to continue the Mission’s outreach in healthcare.
The event was participated a large of people, reinforcing the Mission’s ongoing commitment to spiritual, educational, and medical welfare in the region.
