JAMMU, May 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed Ram Niwas Sharma, an IAS officer of the 2010 batch from the AGMUT cadre, as Secretary to the Government, School Education Department (SED).
A decision in this regard followed Sharma’s transfer to the region from the Union Territory of Delhi.
Sharma takes over the post from Shantmanu, the 1991 batch AGMUT Cadre IAS officer, who is currently holding the charge of Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Higher Education, besides holding the additional charge of the department.
