Rallies taken out by various organisations under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

JAMMU, Apr 11: Rallies were organised by various organisations on the occasion of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, here today.
In a strong step towards spreading awareness against drug abuse, a massive anti-drug rally was organized at the district headquarters Reasi.
The rally was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner Reasi and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and civil society members.
Abdul Quddir Kundria, a noted poet and social worker, appreciated the collective efforts of the District Administration, Police, Army, BSF, NCC cadets, Social Welfare Department, Handicrafts, Health, Municipal, and Education Departments, along with members of civil society.
Government Degree College, Ramgarh organized a pledge-taking ceremony under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free society.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of the Principal, Dr Meeru Abrol.
To mark the day, a pledge ceremony was organized at Government Degree College (GDC) Marheen, with the objective of raising awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promoting a drug-free lifestyle among students.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance and leadership of the respected Principal Prof (Dr) Anupama Gupta.
Government Degree College (GDC) Samba kick-started its activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) by organizing a vibrant awareness rally within the campus and surrounding areas.
Principal Prof Nirlape Kour lauded the active participation of students and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in building a drug-free society.

Guru Nanak Public High School, Gole Gujral, today organised a rally on the occasion of 100 days compaign on “Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan”.
The school principal Manjit Kour Saini appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers, saying that such awareness programmes help build a healthier and safer society.
The rally concluded with a pledge by all participants to stay away from drugs and promote a drug-free environment.
A 90-day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was launched at GDC Budgam.
The event was launched by principal of the College, Prof Dr Mohd Amin Malik. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Malik emphasised the need for multi-pronged approach to tackle the growing menace of drug abused.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Raman Suri today welcomed the ongoing anti-drug campaign in Jammu Kashmir, terming it a “commendable and timely initiative” aimed at safeguarding the future of the youth and society at large.
He said that while such awareness runs and campaigns are appreciable, a more focused and ground-level approach is required to effectively curb the growing menace of drug abuse.
