JAMMU, Oct 16: A meeting of the Executive Committee members of Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha, J&K, was held here under the chairmanship of Bishan Singh, President of the Sabha to review the position of financial assistance provided to needy widows/orphans of the community for the year 2025-26 and enrolment of more such persons in the welfare scheme.
The president apprised all the members that so for an amount of Rs 6,42,000 was disbursed during the year 2024-25 while Rs 2,31,000/- have been disbursed in first six months (April to September) of the current year to 73 widows and two minor girls facing severe financial hardships. He also apprised the members that Rajput Sabha has decided to include more beneficiaries (poor widows) of left out areas under the ambit of the scheme.
Chairman of Shri Amar Kshatriya Sabha Charitable Trust Narayan Singh was also present on this occasion and reaffirmed the Sabha’s commitment to provide financial assistance to needy widows.
The meeting was attended by R S Jasrotia, Jagdish Singh, Mangleshwar Singh, Narinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Pawan Dev Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Varinder Singh, B S Bandral, Capt Inder Singh and Raj Kumar.
