Rajput Sabha honours meritorious students, prominent personalities

BILLAWAR, Sept 29: Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha organized a programme to honour the meritorious students of the Rajput community and prominent personalities of civil society in Tehsil Billawar.
Naryan Singh, Chairman of Amar Kshatriya Sabha Charitable Trust, was the chief guest on the occasion and MLA Billawar Satish Sharma was the guest of honour. On the occasion, last Dogra ruler of the J&K, Maharaja Hari Singh was also remembered.
Speaking on the occasion, Naryan Singh cautioned the youth to remain vigilant from evil designs of the enemy. He urged youth to save themselves from the menace of drugs and concentrate on studies as well as character building to become human resource for the nation.
Satish Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, appealed youth to take inspiration from Maharah Hari Singh’s life and emphasized that the transformative social reforms which the Maharaja made about hundred years ago, prove that he was a visionary ruler.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Mangleshwar Singh, General Secretary, Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha, Purani Mandi; Raj Kumar, Tehsil Billawar President of Rajput Sabha; Hukam Chand, ex Tehsil President; Romal Singh, Sr Vice President, Sansar Singh, Pawan Singh, Tara Singh, Jasbir Singh (Kumar Sabha President) and Avinash Singh Kotwal.
