SAMBA, May 21: Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha today distributed scholarship among the Rajput Biradri children from economically weaker section, here today at Gurha Slathian in Samba district.
Deputy Commissioner Samba , Rajesh Sharma was chief guest on the occasion and he handed over the scholarships to needy students. The scholarship of Rs 44,500 was distributed among 12 students under the supervision of Mangleshwar Singh, General secretary of Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha.
The Deputy Commissioner addressed the parents and students asking the former to keep close watch on their wards, keeping in view of present scenario.
Mangleshwar Singh also addressed the gathering and exhorted the students to keep distance from drugs.
Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha has been providing scholarship to meritorious EWS students of Rajput Biradari every year to encourage them to continue/complete their studies. This year, the Sabha sanctioned scholarships for near about 100 meritorious students of Jammu Province.
Narinder Singh (Advisor), Inder Singh (President Samba district), DDC Sudershan Singh, Ex Sarpanch Jatinder Singh, Vir Partap Singh, Uttkansh Slathia, Pankaj Singh, Vikas Singh and other prominent personalities of Gurha Slathian were also present on the occasion.
