JAMMU, Feb 13: A 22-year-old youth from Rajouri District was found dead in a hotel in Jewel Chowk area here today.
Around 2:45 Pm, two youth identified as Jaspreet Singh son of Gurmeet Singh and Sanjeev Kumar son of Satvir Kumar, both residents of Nonial, Nowshera, Rajouri, were found unconscious in a hotel in Jewel Chowk area, said a police official.
They were shifted to Government Medical College Jammu, where one of them, Jaspreet Singh, was declared as dead on arrival while the other youth was responding to the treatment when this report was filed.
Taking cognisance of the matter, police have initiated inquest proceedings under the relevant sections of the BNS to ascertain the cause of the death of the youth.
