RAJOURI, Oct 1: In connection with week-long Foundation Day celebrations of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), a simple but impressive event was held at Dak Bunglow Rajouri in which former Legislator Advocate Ashok Sharma, Member Working Committee and Vice President Jammu Province of DPAP was the chief guest while the Working Committee Member and Secretary Masood Choudhary (Advocate) was the guest of honour and President, Pir Panjal Zone, Zaid Sarfaraz Malik presided over the event.
While speaking on the occasion, Ashok Sharma spelled out one year achievements of the party under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad and said that DPAP will provide visible political alternative to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He thanked the leadership for promising the people to stand by them during the time of crises like land eviction order, BPL Ration stopping order which was successfully got withdrawn by agitating/protesting physically on ground.
Other leaders assured that people of J&K that the party will fight against pricking issues like Toll Plazza, Smartmeters, Property, water and other hard hitting takes, for filling up the vacancies in Government and private sectors, regularisation of daily wagers and temporary employees, restoration of Statehood, democracy and land and guarantees.
The event started with cake cutting ceremony and concluded with vote of thanks followed by Pritibhoj (Lunch) to the participants.
Among others, who spoke on the occasion, included Lovely Gupta, Susheel Sharma, Som Raj Khajuria, Vinod Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Susheel Jamwal, Farooq Khan, Kashmir Singh, Naseem Akhter, Akram Ch, Ch Mohd Gafoor, Babar Malik, Kabir Mirza, Shokat Inqlabi and Hassan Mirza.
