JAMMU, June 18: Former MLA of Jammu East constituency and BJP chief whip Rajesh Gupta kick started the construction work of the lane and drain at Peerkho area in Ward No 3.
While speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta said that the work will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 3 lakh. He said special attention would be paid to the development of the area and in this regard he has already issued instructions to the concerned authorities. He exuded confidence that due to developmental works executed by the BJP Government, the party will form next Government in J&K on its own strength.
Rajesh Gupta said that the policies of the Modi Government have energized the whole country. “J&K is also on a high growth path and in the days to come we shall be witnessing all round growth and development in the Jammu region also,” he added.
Gupta said that the policies related to economic and security related issues of the Government have been liked by the people of this country and as a result BJP has got such a resounding mandate in the recently held Parliamentary elections.
Corporator Narottam Sharma said that Peerkho is a place of historic significance and it’s maintenance is the paramount job of the Government.
A number of BJP leaders were accompanying the former MLA.
