Rajendra reviews arrangements for Independence Day

SRINAGAR, Aug 2: K Rajendra Kumar, Additional DGP Armed/Law and Order convened a meeting of civil / police officers at APHQ Conference hall today to review the arrangements for the forthcoming Independence Day.
During his address, the Addl. DGP enjoined upon the officers for better cooperation and coordination for organizing the event in an efficient manner. Threadbare discussions were held on every aspect. Special emphasis was given to security of the venue, transportation of contingents, march-past of various contingents from J&K Police/Paramilitary forces/school children etc. Besides, different assignments were given to the Nodal Officers to make the event a success.
Earlier, Rauf-ul-Hassan IGP Armed/IR Kashmir gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding the measures taken in this behalf.
Among others, the meeting was attended by DIGs T. Namgyal, Afadul Mujtaba, Sheikh Hameed, Devinder Singh DIG ITBP, SSPs Mansoor A. Untoo, SO to ADGP Armed/L&O J&K, Kifayat Haider, Rafiq-ul Hassan, Dharmendra Singh CO 75 Bn. CRPF, Aashiq Hussain Bukhari,  SSP Srinagar, Abdul Gafar Malik, SSP Crime Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Fayaz, District Coordinator Education Department and representatives of different civil / police establishments and commandants of Srinagar based AP/ IR Units.
