JAMMU, Mar 26: BJP Jammu and Kashmir president, Ravinder Raina today flagged off 23rd annual religious Charri Yatra of Sukrala Mata from Lucky Bawa Mandir (Vaishno Mata Mandir Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu) here today. Mayor Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta was also present on the occasion.
The yatra, commenced from Lucky Bawa Mandir (Vaishno Mata Mandir Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu) for Sukrala Mata temple in Kathua district amidst chanting of Bhajans and religious sermons. This Yatra is organized every year by Mahant Lucky Baba Ji.
This Yatra started at 8:00 am on Saturday, which reached Bhagwati Nagar Tawi Bridge in the presence of around 400 devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, Raina hoped that this religious pilgrimage will culminate in a smooth and successful note. He appealed the people to utilize religious events to promote peace, brotherhood and communal harmony in the society.
Mahant Lucky Baba prayed and blessed everyone for a long life and also wished that the journey be a happy one.
Ward 31 councilor, Sucha Singh, Ward 29 councilor, Surinder Chaudhary, Sahil Sharma, Atul Bakshi and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
