Raina asks separatists not to meddle with Pandits’ affairs

JAMMU, July 9: MLC GL Raina alias Ajay Bharti has termed recent statement of separatist leaders as an exercise to absolve perpetuators of ethnic cleansing from the unpardonable crime against humanity. The people responsible for forcing exile on the minority Hindu community of Kashmir cannot have any role in the return and rehabilitation of exiled Pandits.
Raina who was addressing a meeting of Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) of BJP came down heavily on the left-liberal echo system that is trying to highlight statement of separatist Hurriyat leaders as some kind of benevolence for the displaced Pandits. It is nothing but an exercise to remain afloat and politically relevant, he added.
Raina who is vice president of State BJP asserted that the displaced Hindus are in full agreement with the decision of the Government of India not to have any dialogue with people responsible for death and destruction in Kashmir. He asked Mirwaiz Umar Farooq as a religious head of a section of Muslims of Kashmir to justify his position by ensuring vacation of illegal encroachments of the left behind immovable property of the displaced people.
He said Vicharnag Temple complex which is less than 5 KMs from Jamia Masjid stands encroached upon illegally so is the case with hundreds of other properties religious as well as individual. Let Mirwaiz begin with clearing these illegal encroachments, he added.
Raina asked KDD to defeat this new narrative being pushed by vested interests and separatist sympathisers.
