Sir,
The rail budget has introduced several policies to upgrade the railway network. The reforms mitiated by the Railway Minister will cartainly help in modernising Railway sector.
A lot of work has to be done to ensure that commonman does not encounter difficulties while travelling.
Presently, the railway stations in the country are perfect models of sloppy governance. When the least important ones do not have any prioritised agenda to service people, the most important ones falter in almost all parameters of world class quality.
There is the problem of insanitation railway stations and inside trains. The aspects reveal that more funds need to be allotted to spruce up railway stations.
Besides, those travelling without ticket should be punished in a way so that no one dares to travel without paying the charges.
The Railway lose a hefty sum on account of it. If this sum is recovered, it will help railway to meet expenses.
The fair hike will not hurt the masses if they get the service they pay for. Hope the Railway Minister ensures that all reforms announced are implemented in letter and spirit.
Yours etc…
