BANGALORE, Sept 14: All India Congress Committee Vice President Rahul Gandhi is reviewing performance of each Minister every three months and Pradesh Congress Committees (PCC) has been asked to send its report, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President, Dr G Parameshwar, said today.
He said Karnataka PCC has been asked to send its Performance Assessment Report by October 31.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that KPCC will prepare a questioner and send it to District units who will hold Executive Committee and prepare a report on the performance of Ministers of their constituency, their involvement with people, implementation of various central as well as State programmes.
‘The District Committees will hold EC meeting by October 1 and send a report to the KPCC. After compiling all the reports it would be forwarded to the AICC for review by Mr Rahul Gandhi,’ he added.
Dr Parameshwar said that the first list of candidates for 2014 Lok Sabha election may be released by December.
The Teams set up to select probable candidates have already toured 28 constituencies in the State and reports have started coming in.
The State Election Committee will short list the names to a subject maximum of three and send it to AICC Election Committee which will refer it to Central Screening Committee, he added.
Dr Parameshwar said that as per direction by Mr Rahul Gandhi preference will be given to new faces, youth and women candidates.
Replying to a question, he said that the KPCC Disciplinary Committee, formed under Senior Congress Leader Alexander Chairmanship, has already issued notices to 450 members for their alleged anti-party activities during election and it is expected the Committee will submit its report within next two months.
‘The Chief Minister will be advised not to entrust any power appoint to Boards and Corporations those who were found guilty by the Disciplinary Committee,’ he added.
Dr Parameshwar said that Ministers, MLAs and MLCs would be asked from resign to the post in the party organisation. (UNI)
