SUNDERBANI, July 25: Rich tributes were paid to the Kargil martyr Joginder Singh of 14-Sikh Regiment at his hamlet Qila Darhal, Rajouri.
The Akhand Pathh in this connection concluded today with Guru Ka Langer and army officers of Gorkha Regiment along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshrea, Sukhdev Singh paid tributes to the martyr at his memorial.
Village people informed that three Kargil martyr were from Nowshera sector and named them as Gurdeep Singh son of Bachan Singh of Kanara, Hardeep Singh son of Inder Singh of Rajpur Bhatta and Joginder Singh son of Pritam Singh of Qila Darhal.
However, no politicians visited the memorial to pay tributes to the martyr and the hamlet of the martyr also sans facilities while local demand points towards renaming the villages there after martyrs.
Meanwhile, martyr Joginder Singh’s father Pritam Singh, mother Raj Kour, wife Charan Kour and brothers Prem Singh and Hardev Singh have said that they are proud of Joginder Singh as he was a brave solider who laid his life for the sake of motherland.
